Acute liver failure

In this condition, the liver function deteriorates suddenly and rapidly in a person with an otherwise healthy liver. The common causes of acute liver failure are Hepatitis A and E infections, paracetamol poisoning, and rat poison intake. While most patients recover with intensive medical management; some patients require emergency liver transplants as a life-saving measure.
