Liver diseases in Children

A large number of liver diseases are found in children. The ones requiring liver transplantation include biliary atresia and metabolic disorders of the liver such as Wilson’s disease and organic acidemia.
The most common liver cancer of children is Hepatoblastoma which is treatable by a combination of chemotherapy and surgery.
